Setembro Fabuloso - Fabulous September

Almost one month without writing, but at the end, even not working, we have so many things to do during the day, that I became lazy on writing.

This month of September was fantastic, because so many wonderful things happened, let me tell you:

a)       It has been almost a month that Giovana is studying in the new school and she is very adapted, a lot of new friends, her English is improving day by day, it so good to see her happy with many activities, doing well on the tests, on sports, etc…

b)       We had 4 birthdays of the friends with a lot of barbecue, beer, dancing parties, very good…It was a long time we didn’t dance so many hours, one night we danced probably between the 2 parties we had, at least 5 to 6 hours, and Giovana was dancing all the time as usual, and was not satisfied when we told her that we would like to go home and rest because it was already 2 in the morning and we started the parties at 5 pm…There is a dance here called “Family dance” in which everybody dances in the same way and it is very good, beautiful and the music very nice..

c)       We have also been able to celebrate the “Farroupilha” week with the “Gauchos” that live in Tete, in a very special style, doing a hell of a barbecue of a whole prime rib of beef with “Chimarrão”  (Mate) to start and beer afterwards of course… on the same week we had a “Puchero” which is made from the meat that is leftover… it was great.

d)       We did our first safari trip with a group of 18 people to Zambia. The hotel we were – Mushroom Lodge stays 550 km from Tete, but since the roads are not so good, we had approx. 110 km of dirt road and in a very bad condition, so it took us 11 hours on the way to and on the way back 10 hours, of course there are delays and time spent on the borders as well, but it doesn’t matter because the trip was amazing, unforgettable, an unique experience. We were very fortunate to meet with lions almost face to face and at night when they were preparing to hunt. Another special moment of this trip was the sunset view at the top of the river with lot of hippos in it and a barbecue with beer & cocktails together with a bonfire for the group; you can imagine how fantastic it was…

Quase um mês sem escrever, mas no final das contas são tantas coisas que eu acabo fazendo durante o dia, mesmo não trabalhando que a gente acaba ficando preguiçoso para escrever.

Este mês de setembro foi fantástico, porque muitas coisas maravilhosas aconteceram, deixe me conta-las:

a)       Já se passou quase um mês que a Giovana está estudando na nova escola e ela está super adaptada, muitos amigos novos, o inglês dela está melhorando dia a dia, é tão bom vê-la feliz com tantas atividades, indo bem nas provas, até nos esportes...

b)       Nós tivemos quatro aniversários de amigos com um monte de churrasco, cerveja, festa com dança, bom demais… fazia muito tempo que a gente não dançava por tanto tempo, numa noite dançamos provavelmente entre as duas festas que tivemos, no mínimo de 5/6 horas, e a Gigi como de costume, dançou o tempo todo sem parar e ainda reclamou quando falamos para ela que íamos para casa descansar às 2 horas da manhã... A primeira festa havia começado às 5 da tarde. Aqui existe uma dança muito legal chamada de “dança da família” aonde todos dançam a mesma coreografia que vai girando, é muito bom, bonito e a música muito agradável.

c)       Nós também tivemos a possibilidade de celebrar a semana Farroupilha com os gaúchos que moram aqui em Tete, e num estilo show de bola, fazendo um “puta” churrasco de costela inteira de boi com chimarrão para começar e depois é claro a famosa cerveja... Na mesma semana, fizemos na casa de um dos gaúchos, um puchero que é feito do resto da carne e estava maravilhoso.

d)       Fizemos o nosso primeiro safari com um grupo de 18 amigos na Zâmbia. O hotel que ficamos hospedados Mushroom Lodge, fica a 550 km de Tete, mas como as estradas aqui não são tão boas tem muitos animais cruzando a pista, tivemos aproximadamente 110 km de estrada de terra em péssimas condições boa parte dela, levamos 11 horas na ida e 10 horas na volta, é claro que também tivemos atrasos e esperas na fronteira dos 2 lados, mas não importa porque a viagem foi incrível, inesquecível, uma experiência única. Fomos muito felizes em encontrar leões e leoas quase cara a cara e de noite, quanto eles estavam se preparando para caçar. Outro momento especial da viagem foi ver o por do sol, na margem do rio cheio de hipopótamos com um churrasco regado a cerveja e coquetéis com uma fogueira para o grupo, vocês podem imaginar quão fantástico foi este momento...
