The problem with our car was the battery, now is fixed and working properly. We also have made the insurance which is very important, so now everything is all right. The party on Saturday was really fantastic, the kids loved it, it started at 8:30 up to 12:30 with a lot of things for them to do, such as Karate, paint, drawing, reading, dancing, etc...
After the party we were to a barbecue made by a friend from Rio Grande do Sul, and it was good, a lot of food, even "polenta", sausage, rump, steak ad beer... we met another couple (Selmar & Liane) from the south of Brazil that works at Leaf Tobacco which is a big company here and it was a very nice afternoon. There was another party that night but we couldn't go, we were very tired for the day and went to sleep.
On sunday, we went to Selmar's house on the leaf tobacco condominium, a very nice one, which is located inside the area of the company, together with the school, which is considered the best in town, it is an english school. Because of Selmar, we had the opportunity of talking to Peter, who is the School Director to see if there was a chance for Giovana to study there, which we would prefer. We have then arranged for an assessment test for tuesday. At night there was a Cheese & Wine party to celebrate the birthday of a friend Ana Cristina... then sleep again...to much parties... hahaha
Monday at noon Giovana called me not feeling so well, her stomach & intestine were aching so I went to pick her up and stayed at home taking care of her, on tuesday she also didn't go to school in order to be better. In the afternoon we went to Leaf Tobacco school which is called Zambezi Junior School for the assessment test with Peter Illman, I was not sure if her english would be enough to that school, because we know that the students must be fluent since english is the primay language and there are no other brazilians studying there right now. And for our joy, she passed the test and now we are just waiting for the president of the company to give the OK so that she can start studying there as from next week... I'm sure everything will be fine.
Now we are just waiting for friday which will be Maikon's birthday and there will be a barbecue to celebrate, as usual, with lots of meat & beer !!!!!
O problema com o nosso carro era a bateria, que foi trocada e ficou tudo resolvido. Fizemos agora o seguro do carro que também foi muito bom, pois ficamos mais tranquilos. A festa no sábado começou as 8:30 e foi até as 12:30 e as crianças adoraram, aprenderam karate, pintaram, desenharam, dançaram, fizeram o circulo da leitura, etc...
Depois da festa fomos a um churrasco de um gaucho que mora aqui, que estava sensacional, muita coisa boa, até polenta, linquiça (show de bola com queijo dentro), alcatra, picanha e muita cerveja... ficamos conhecendo um outro casal da gauchos (Selmar & Liane), ele trabalha na Leaf Tobacco que é uma grande empresa aqui em Moçambique, enfim foi uma tarde muito agradavel, de noite tinhamos outra festa mas não dava, estavamos muito cansados...
Domingo fomos à casa do Selmar que fica num condomínio dentro da área da empresa, lá também além das casas, tem um clube e uma escola que é considerada a melhor escola de Tete, é uma escola inglesa. Por causa do Selmar, tivemos a oportunidade de conversar com o diretor da escola para ver qual seria a possibilidade de a Giovana estudar lá, oque nós é claro preferimos, foi então marcado um teste de avaliação para 3a feira. De noite tivemos outra festa, um queijo e vinhos para comemorar o aniversário da Ana Cristina, depois fomos dormir.... festas demais.... hahahaha
Na segunda feira na hora do almoço, a Giovana me ligou pois não estava passando bem do estomago e do intestino então fui buscá-la e ficamos em casa para cuidar e melhorar. Na 3a feira ela também não foi a escola para ficar melhor de verdade, de tarde fomos a escola da Leaf Tobacco que chama-se Zambezi Junior School para que ela pudesse fazer o teste com o Peter Illman, eu não tinha certeza se o inglês dela seria suficiente, já que os alunos tem que ter fluência já que o inglês é a lingua primária e não tem outros brasileiros estudando lá agora. Para nossa alegria, ela passou e agora estamos só aguardando que o presidente da empresa dê o OK para que ela possa começar a estudar lá a partir de 2a feira, quando voltam as aulas. Tenho certeza que tudo vai dar certo...
Agora só estamos esperando chegar a 6a feira que é o aniversário do Maikon para fazer aquele churrasco tradicional regado a muita carne e cerveja !!!!
